MSP SpringBoard 2017

MSP SpringBoard 2017 was a two day program held at Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal, Khichapokhari on 12th and 13th August to “literally springboard” our tenure as Microsoft Student Partner 2017. About 100+ MSPs from Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan had participated in the event.

The first day, we received a warm welcome from Mr. Allen Bailochan Tuladhar, Country Director and MSP Lead Nepal. After a short introduction game, we dived straight into the sessions by various speakers. We started off with digital photography session by Mr. Alok Siddhi Tuladhar and moved on to videography session by Mr. Aman Pratap Adhikari. We also had a session on presentation by Mr. Prashanta Manandhar and the day wrapped up with a session on blogging by Ms. Nairisha Shrestha. We also had a panel of previous MSPs to give us an idea about the career after being MSP.

The day was not only limited to sessions. We got to meet other MSPs from other colleges and make great new friends. But, the most exciting part of the day had to be the goodies we received : a Windows 10 genuine CD, a Win1o sticker and the best of all 100 pieces of my very own personalized visiting cards!!

After the wonderful first day, I was really pumped up for the second day of the SpringBoard. The second day kicked off with a session on “Goal Setting” by Allen Sir. Then we moved onto sessions on Office 365, Cloud Computing using Azure and Windows 10 by Mr. Bibek Chaudhary, Mr. Ravi Mandal and Mr. Pradeep Kandel respectively. We also had another panel of previous MSPs to tell us about their experiences as MSP and yet another panel of college principles to talk to us about their take on technical education on Nepal. But the best part of the day had to be the live band performance by The MIC and the release of their music video.

All in all, the two days was really inspiring and motivating. I believe my journey to transform from a caterpillar to a butterfly has begun.
